1972 B.Sc University of Wisconsin.
1976 M.D. University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Former Assistant Chief of Cardiology, U.S. Public Health Hospital, San Francisco, California.
1979 Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
1981 Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
Special interest in adult congenital heart disease, echocardiography and preventative cardiology.

Dr. Chan is married, with two children and plays 1st Violin with the Peninsula Symphony. He is chairman of the annual patient golf tournament. He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
